On your way to visit us, you'll drive through historic St. Michaels. Before returning home, learn how this town ‘Fooled the British’ during colonial times. Exploring the local bistros, galleries, and antique shops are all part of your Harbourtowne experience. It's not to be missed.

From Harbourtowne, St. Michaels is just minutes away. Rent a bike and cycle to town, hop in car and take the short trip, or kick back and enjoy short water taxi ride across the river.

Once there, take time to stroll the brick-lined walkways and soak in the historic flavor of the colonial homes, stone churches, decorated storefronts, and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The museum is a 16-acre complex of indoor and outdoor exhibits, tracing the history and traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. The museum offers an array of events throughout the year including Big Band concerts under the stars as well as a variety of festivals.

Enjoy a ride on the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry, “America's Oldest Ferry,” a tour in a horse-drawn carriage or a cruise in a working, sail-powered skipjack. Many entertainment options abound in the area, adding to your experience.
